Canada Phased Out the Penny

The Government of Canada has officially phased out the penny of it's coinage system as of February 4th, 2013.  As pennies exit circulation, all cash purchases are now rounded up or down to the nearest five-cent increment or nickel.  All electronic purchases and check purchases will continue to use the existing prices since no actual coins are used.
